What to wear
We recommend solid colors for all portraiture, avoiding plaids, stripes, patterns, and anything with obviously logos/icons as these all distract the viewer from your face. Sneakers and white socks don't look as good either. Also be sure to bring enough changes of clothes so you'll have many options, but be sure to bring them on hangers, not stuffed and balled into a bag. Well help you pick out your outfits when you're here. Be sure to bring your uniform/outfit if you play a sport, in marching band, do ballet, etc. as this is a big part of who you are! If you play baseball, bring your uniform, bat, ball and glove. (Maybe we'll even have a catch afterwards!)

Props
Props are items that you frequently use or are seen with. Cell phone? Laptop? Your favorite teddy bear? Always wearing a hat? Scarf? Big jewelry? Add some fun and spice it up by bringing the fun zany stuff that you never had before in photos. Try to stay with solid colors, though (or patterns that are limited to only a couple colors so as not to get too busy looking). Hats are a blast to work with and can give a really cool fashion look. A cowboy hat, top hat, stocking cap be creative!

Make-up (repair kit)
We recommend arriving ready to go as this will help save time. However, its a good idea to bring your make-up anyway in case you need to re-apply. Powder (with the brush), eyeliner, lipstick/gloss are all encouraged (if you normally wear it), but being sure to not overdo it. We photograph models often and can help you when you're here.

Glasses
If it means that you're going to bang into a wall on your way here, we recommend keeping your glasses on. However, if you have an extra pair of glasses that you can pop out the lenses, this will limit glare/reflections and help the session flow easier. Also, if everyone who knows you sees your glasses every day, you should include them in the session.

Sunglasses
We recommend not wearing sunglasses on your way to your session as it will leave those red marks on your nose, which just creates work for us in Photoshop. We don't like extra work. Do you? However, if you want to do a portrait with them on towards the end of the session, thats always cool.

Pets
Your puppy, kitty, turtle, etc. can be included in some of your poses outside, but no pets are allowed in the studio. If you're going to want to include a pet outside, please notify us of this in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements. Also, please plan on having a handler to watch (be with) the pet while were doing the non-pet photos of your session.

Parents
We actually encourage your parents to attend as it's a fun experience, but to not interfere. Nagging parents telling you to 'smile for the camera' should stay home. It's embarrassing, right? But bringing a good friend is always fun!

Music
If you have an iPod or a favorite CD, definitely bring it with you and well hook it up to the sound system here and raise the roof!

To shave or not to shave...that is the question
For girls and guys, if you're doing any kind of body hair removal (shaving, tweezing, etc.), we recommend doing it the night before your session rather than right before the session as razor burn is almost impossible to fix. If you tweeze right before your session, your skin could still be red.

Blemishes
Don't go crazy if you have a blemish the day of your session. We can fix most blemishes in post-production. Trying to eliminate them just before a photo session could make things worse. If you have flaking skin, please bring your necessary moisturizer as flaking is very hard to fix as well.

Braces
Your parents paid a lot for them. So we're not going to remove them from your teeth in Photoshop.
